Senior Backend Engineer, Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend services using Golang.

• Create RESTful APIs and establish stable data contracts that can evolve securely over time.

• Implement and oversee asynchronous, event-driven communication ensuring message reliability, idempotency, error handling, and backward compatibility.

• Architect and create distributed systems and microservices with a focus on scalability, resilience, and maintainability.

• Enhance application performance, reliability, and resource utilization within production environments.

• Engage in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making processes.

• Perform code reviews and facilitate knowledge sharing throughout the engineering team.

• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests for APIs, business logic, and integrations.

• Design and manage secure APIs and service integrations employing best practices for authentication, authorization, and identity management.

• Establish integrations with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, Genesys Cloud, and additional third-party systems.

• Ensure reliable connections between internal services and external enterprise platforms.

• Occasionally assist with React-based frontend functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience working as a Software Engineer.

• Extensive experience in building backend applications and services utilizing Golang.

• Strong grasp of concurrency in Golang and asynchronous workflows.

• Practical experience with event-driven architectures and message handling technologies, such as Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar.

• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native architecture.

• Demonstrated ability in designing APIs and event schemas that allow for long-term evolution and backward compatibility.

• In-depth understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure API design principles.

• Experience with microservice architectures and distributed systems.

• Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong dedication to automated testing practices, including unit and integration tests.

• Experience with React and contemporary frontend development (preferable).

• Familiarity with TypeScript and Protobuf (preferable).

• Experience with Azure or GCP (preferable).

• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools like Grafana and Prometheus (preferable).

• Experience with identity and access management solutions such as Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, or similar (preferable).
