Senior Backend Engineer, Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance backend systems in Golang to support millions of active users.

• Create architecture and ensure systems operate efficiently at scale.

• Develop clean, reliable, and intuitive APIs for frontend and various engineering teams.

• Manage complex data flows, caching mechanisms, and messaging systems.

• Sustain and expand existing Node.js services during the transition to Golang.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams.

• Deliver quickly, iterate, propose new ideas, challenge existing assumptions, and elevate backend engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building backend systems at substantial scale.

• Proficient in Golang backend development.

• Experience in designing scalable architectures and RESTful APIs.

• Extensive knowledge of PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch.

• Practical experience with Redis and RabbitMQ.

• Comfortable with Nginx, Kubernetes, and deployment pipelines.

• Node.js experience is a significant advantage.

• Experience with mobile applications on iOS or Android is a plus.

• Ability to work independently in rapidly changing environments.

• Willingness to work on new Golang services as well as existing Node.js code.
