This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.
• Spearhead the development of significant projects within the team’s scope and engage in cross-team initiatives for Remote's HR and Payroll products.
• Actively involve yourself in product-related tasks within the team: offer feedback and propose solutions to challenges. Leverage technical insights and expertise to recommend enhancements to the product.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the team's domain from both product and engineering perspectives.
• Provide constructive feedback during code reviews.
• Contribute to the collective codebase.
• Diagnose and resolve both technical and business-related issues.
• Engage in activities beyond the team, such as support rotations, the hiring process, RFC discussions, and more.
• Mentor and guide fellow engineers.
• Explore, propose, and participate in the implementation of enhancements to our platform.
• Develop interfaces with a focus on performance, accessibility, and API design.
• Redesign the process of how engineering work is delivered by making autonomous agents the default execution layer.
• Suggest and operationalize agentic workflows from start to finish (specification → planning → execution → verification) to accelerate outcomes.
• Create reusable agentic workflows and components within the codebase, enabling teams to apply them consistently across various domains.
• Utilize verification loops (tests, checks, evaluations, guardrails) to ensure that results are accurate, secure, dependable, and scalable.
• Strong engineering principles coupled with a proven history of delivering production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
• Hands-on experience in designing or implementing agentic/automation workflows (or similar systems) and refining them through iterative processes.
• Capability to think systemically: articulate specifications clearly, deconstruct plans, implement verification mechanisms, and ensure quality assurance.
• Proficiency in Postgres (or a similar database).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar).
• Exhibits strong automation capabilities and fluency in AI technologies.
