Senior Backend Engineer – DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Development of RESTful APIs using Python with Flask and FastAPI, incorporating extensive use of SQLAlchemy and Pydantic.

• Analyzing requirements, proposing solutions, conducting spikes, creating proof of concepts, and building production-grade solutions that are thoroughly tested and released.

• Supporting, optimizing, and maintaining our solutions to ensure they meet our service level objectives (SLOs).

• Collaborating with team members through pull request reviews, requests for comments (RFCs), architectural decision records (ADRs), and agile ceremonies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Python development, with at least 6 years of experience.

• Familiarity with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, and Celery.

• Experience in creating software designed for high availability using Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native technologies.

• Knowledge of public cloud providers, preferably AWS, including expertise in Kubernetes, IAM, and S3.

• Strong understanding of algorithmics and data structures.

• Proven experience in ensuring quality through test automation (test-driven development and behavior-driven development are advantageous), ideally in a setting without a formal QA role.

• Proficiency in profiling and optimizing performance at the code, database, and infrastructure levels.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an English-speaking context.
