Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

• Create high-quality software solutions.

• Take charge of establishing the backend technical framework for our client.

• Offer technical guidance and make architectural decisions.

• Explore and integrate new technologies.

• Develop market strategies for service architecture.

• Collaborate across functions with engineering, product, and design teams.

• Formulate testing and performance strategies for the backend team.

• Support the team in Scrum activities.

• Oversee the enhancement of backend team processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.

• Proficient in developing microservices using NodeJS.

• Extensive experience with Typescript (preferably) or JavaScript (acceptable).

• Familiarity with AWS tools and technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, Cloudwatch, etc.).

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to work independently.

• Experience utilizing third-party libraries.

• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (specifically CircleCI).

• Comprehensive understanding of Relational Databases (MySQL or Postgres).

• Thorough knowledge of NoSQL Databases (DynamoDB or similar).

• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.

• Expert knowledge in Terraform and familiarity with Terragrunt.

• Experience working within Agile Scrum teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
