Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage cloud-native microservices for our financial services platform.

• Create scalable and robust backend systems utilizing Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.

• Take complete ownership of features — overseeing everything from technical design and implementation to testing and production operations.

• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code methodologies utilizing contemporary DevOps tools.

• Provide mentorship to engineers and uphold quality standards through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on backend systems.

• In-depth knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin along with frameworks like Spring Boot.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms (particularly Azure) and Kubernetes-based environments.

• Solid understanding of distributed systems, software architecture, and design patterns.

• Familiarity with databases and messaging systems including PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
