Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain our backend systems.

• Supervise the creation and upkeep of our GraphQL API.

• Handle deployments within a Kubernetes setting on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and QA to produce high-quality features.

• Take initiative to conceive and execute product enhancements based on business and user requirements.

• Promote an inclusive workplace, effectively engaging with team members from various cultural backgrounds.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Excellent written and verbal English skills (C1+).

• Strong knowledge of Ruby; familiarity with functional programming patterns is a significant advantage.

• Advanced understanding of SQL / PostgreSQL.

• Experience in developing GraphQL APIs.

• Comfortable with DevOps practices, including deployments, Kubernetes, and GCP.

• Product-oriented, proactive, and proficient in working across cultures.
