Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain RESTful APIs and backend services utilizing Java (Spring WebFlux) and Python.

• Engage in the microservices architecture, including testing, debugging, and enhancing performance.

• Resolve backend and API problems in both development and production settings.

• Develop and maintain data processing workflows through Databricks notebooks (SQL / Python).

• Compose, optimize, and manage intricate PostgreSQL queries and data models.

• Identify and fix data-related issues to guarantee accuracy and performance.

• Operate within Azure or AWS cloud environments and adhere to CI/CD best practices.

• Take part in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with senior engineers on design and delivery.

• Communicate effectively to facilitate cross-functional problem-solving and production support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in backend development.

• Practical experience with Java (Spring Boot, RESTful microservices) and Python for backend and data-processing applications.

• Experience utilizing Databricks notebooks for data analysis or processing tasks.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL / SQL.

• Familiar with Angular or other contemporary UI frameworks.

• Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud platforms.

• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps methodologies.

• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
