Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Design and manage RESTful APIs and backend services utilizing Java (Spring WebFlux) and Python.

• Contribute to the microservices architecture, including testing, debugging, and performance enhancement.

• Address and resolve backend and API issues in both development and production settings.

• Create and maintain data processing workflows through Databricks notebooks (SQL / Python).

• Develop, optimize, and uphold intricate PostgreSQL queries and data models.

• Identify and fix data-related challenges to guarantee accuracy and performance.

• Operate within Azure or AWS cloud platforms and adhere to CI/CD best practices.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with senior engineers on design and project delivery.

• Effectively communicate to facilitate cross-functional problem-solving and production support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in backend development.

• Practical experience with Java (Spring Boot, RESTful microservices) and Python for backend and data-processing applications.

• Experience with Databricks notebooks for data analysis or processing tasks.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL / SQL.

• Familiarity with Angular or other contemporary UI frameworks.

• Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud environments.

• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
