Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a vital role in our expanding organization, collaborating with a cross-functional team to implement best practices in technology, architecture, and processes.

• Design and implement highly scalable backend endpoints.

• Collect product requirements and compose design documents to meet product needs.

• Guide and oversee the complete software development lifecycle: product requirements, architecture, solution design, development, quality assurance, and maintenance.

• Mentor colleagues on best practices and effectively disseminate knowledge.

• Communicate development progress effectively to the product lead, engineering manager, and other stakeholders.

• Be open to introducing new technologies and innovative ideas as needed.

• Work efficiently as a member of a large global team.

• Participate in and engage with scrum ceremony meetings, team gatherings, and manager 1:1s.

• Provide constructive feedback to coworkers both in writing and verbally, and respond to technical and behavioral feedback from managers and peers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of industry experience in backend development, with at least 3-4 years in senior roles, developing large-scale applications.

• Experience in developing distributed web applications.

• Your code is clear, well-organized, and highly efficient.

• Proficient in database modeling (both SQL and NoSQL are acceptable).

• Familiarity with using and designing RESTful services.

• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
