Senior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance backend APIs and services using Java with Spring Boot, ensuring effective and organized utilization of consolidated data in OneData.

• Design and implement an event-driven architecture (Pub/Sub) to foster resilient system integration and progressive decoupling of legacy components.

• Construct adaptation layers, including adapters, facades, and BFFs, facilitating the incremental migration of consumers without operational disruption.

• Organize and optimize key endpoints in the Domiciliar journeys, such as scheduling, feasibility, routing, and profitability, ensuring both performance and scalability.

• Define and execute data access patterns and API exposure, encompassing versioning, pagination, advanced filters, aggregations, and caching strategies.

• Assist in transitioning between data models and contract versions, ensuring safe coexistence, compatibility, and progressive architectural evolution.

• Apply robust resilience and performance practices, including circuit breakers, retries, timeouts, fallbacks, and rate limiting.

• Detect and alleviate latency bottlenecks, excessive resource consumption, and overloads in databases and caches.

• Ensure comprehensive observability of APIs through structured logs, metrics, distributed tracing, and monitoring for errors and latency.

• Document API contracts, events, and technical decisions thoroughly.

• Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams.

• Extensive experience in backend development using Java.

• Proficiency in Spring Boot for building and evolving APIs and microservices.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging/Pub/Sub mechanisms.

• Experience in system integration, legacy modernization, and constructing adaptation layers.

• Knowledge of API design best practices, including versioning, pagination, filters, contracts, and backward compatibility.

• Experience with resilience, scalability, and performance practices in distributed environments.

• Understanding of observability, including logs, metrics, tracing, and monitoring.

• Ability to operate effectively in high-criticality contexts, with a technical vision and a focus on operational stability.

• Strong communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration with diverse teams.
