Senior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures, ensuring they are highly available, scalable, and maintain low latency.

• Create backend solutions utilizing .NET and C#, while adhering to software engineering best practices.

• Guarantee application scalability to handle high transaction volumes and extensive data processing.

• Integrate complex systems in collaboration with Data Engineering, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams.

• Engage in technical and architectural decision-making processes.

• Offer technical leadership for deliveries and initiatives throughout the software lifecycle, including deployment, monitoring, and production support.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and suggest enhancements in architecture, code, databases, and infrastructure.

• Develop and manage messaging integrations along with event-driven architectures.

• Implement automated testing procedures.

• Advance development processes, CI/CD, observability, and engineering practices.

• Collaborate with both technical and business domains, converting requirements into efficient, scalable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.

• Extensive experience in backend development using C# and .NET / .NET Core.

• Proficient in ASP.NET Core and the creation of RESTful APIs.

• Practical experience with microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with Entity Framework Core (EF Core) and other ORMs.

• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases, including modeling, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.

• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle.

• Proficient in messaging and event-driven architectures utilizing RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or Google Cloud Pub/Sub.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.

• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.

• Understanding and application of SOLID principles, Clean Code, Clean Architecture, and Design Patterns.

• Experience with automated testing and integration testing using xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, or similar frameworks.

• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Google Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Grafana, and Prometheus.

• Experience with scalable, resilient, high-availability applications.

• Knowledge of API security, authentication, authorization, and access control.

• Plus: familiarity with DataOps and integration with data platforms.

• Plus: experience with Apache Airflow, Dataflow, Dataproc, or other data processing and orchestration tools.

• Plus: knowledge of Redis or other caching solutions.

• Plus: experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code (IaC).

• Plus: familiarity with OpenTelemetry.

• Plus: experience integrating .NET applications with Generative AI and LLMs.

• Plus: knowledge of Vertex AI, Gemini, AI APIs, or cloud AI services.

• Plus: familiarity with Python for data and AI solutions.
