Senior Backend Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take on lead-level responsibility for backend systems.

• Make independent architectural decisions.

• Design systems with a focus on long-term scalability.

• Transform vague product requirements into backend solutions ready for production.

• Utilize AI to accelerate processes while ensuring sound architecture, correctness, security, performance, and reliability.

• Design and manage backend services using NestJS and TypeScript.

• Develop and sustain GraphQL APIs within a microservices framework.

• Oversee database design, optimization, and reliability using Postgres.

• Establish technical direction.

• Set and uphold quality standards.

• Convert ambiguous product requirements into well-defined technical solutions.

• Participate in system design, infrastructure choices, testing strategies, and enhancing developer productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.

• At least 2 years of experience with Nest.js.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with databases.

• Over 2 years of experience with Postgres, GraphQL, and TypeOrm.

• More than 3 years of experience with Node.js.

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

• Proficient in utilizing AI tools within software engineering workflows.

• Capable of leveraging AI to enhance implementation speed, debugging, documentation, and problem resolution.

• Experience in a Lead Engineer or Architect role.
