Senior Backend Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take charge of backend responsibilities at a lead level.

• Make independent architectural decisions.

• Create systems with a focus on long-term scalability.

• Transform vague product requirements into backend solutions ready for production.

• Design and manage backend services using NestJS and TypeScript.

• Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs within a microservices framework.

• Oversee database design, optimization, and reliability using Postgres.

• Establish technical direction beyond mere implementation specifics.

• Set and uphold quality standards for both AI-generated and manually authored code.

• Convert unclear product requirements into precise technical solutions.

• Participate in system design, infrastructure planning, testing strategies, and enhancing developer productivity.

• Work within an AI-first workflow while maintaining high engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development.

• At least 2 years of experience with Nest.js.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with databases.

• At least 2 years of experience with Postgres, GraphQL, and TypeOrm.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Node.js.

• Proficient with AI tools in software engineering processes.

• Experience in a role as a Lead Engineer or Architect.
