Senior Back End/DevOps Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within a team tasked with managing a large-scale digital content distribution platform.

• Operate in an environment that processes millions of requests per minute, emphasizing high availability, low latency, and resilience.

• Work in close partnership with routing and infrastructure teams to guarantee an optimal user experience, even during peak traffic times.

• Concentrate on distributed systems, performance metrics, networking, and operating systems; familiarity with the Go programming language is advantageous but not mandatory.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing distributed and scalable backend applications.

• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Ruby.

• Familiarity with DevOps principles, promoting collaboration between development and operations teams.

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.

• Practical knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic, Datadog, etc.).

• Understanding of computer networks and large-scale systems (latency, throughput, contention, network congestion, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code practices (e.g., Terraform).

• Experience with web servers or reverse proxies (e.g., Nginx, Apache).

• Familiarity with debugging and optimization tools tailored for embedded systems.

• Experience operating or utilizing CDNs, with a solid understanding of their advantages, limitations, and security requirements (WAFs, authentication tokens, etc.).

• Knowledge of Lua or other embedded programming languages.

• Understanding of Unix and operating systems (terminal usage, sysctl, performance monitoring tools like perf, top/htop, concepts of user space vs kernel space, interrupts, etc.).
