Senior Back-End Developer, Java – Global Insights & Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Oversee data management across various industries within the market.

• Develop, transform, and present data via an evolving platform.

• Architect, create, enhance, and provide support for both new and existing products and features.

• Implement and assess AI and LLM-based solutions to address business challenges and improve processes.

• Work alongside engineers to tackle technical architecture and intricate technical issues.

• Adhere to SDLC and maintain documentation best practices.

• Generate high-quality designs, conduct unit testing, automate processes when suitable, and engage in code reviews.

• Collaborate throughout the organization to comprehend initiatives, analyze requirements, and put forth solutions.

• Ensure that code adheres to performance, reliability, quality, security, and testability standards for systems with high traffic and availability.

• Acquire and implement new technologies to enhance applications.

• Create scalable data visualization solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years experience with Java.

• At least 1 year of experience each with JavaScript and React.

• Over 3 years of experience with SQL, preferably including PostgreSQL or Redshift.

• Familiarity with algorithms, data structures, OOP, and performance optimization.

• Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.

• Background in writing and maintaining automated unit tests.

• Experience with product experimentation, A/B testing, and business metrics/KPIs.

• History of working with cross-functional product teams.

• Capability to design, develop, enhance, and support products and features.

• Preferred: Experience with Spring Boot.

• Preferred: Skills in Python, C#, Go, C++, or C.

• Preferred: Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, or Redshift.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Experience with AI/ML and LLMs, including machine learning, deep learning, NLP, data preprocessing, and tokenization.

• Preferred: Experience in data visualization.
