Senior Back End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend systems from initial concept to final deployment.

• Create efficient and dependable backend services primarily utilizing Java.

• Enhance application performance and ensure the reliability of services operating in a cloud-native environment.

• Design and manage complex databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient querying across both relational and non-relational systems.

• Handle multi-system integrations, managing high levels of complexity and technical dependencies.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project goals and engage in thorough code reviews to uphold high standards of quality.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends to ensure Mend.io remains a leader in the industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 years of professional experience in backend software development.

• Advanced, in-depth expertise with Java and Spring development.

• Proven experience with queue infrastructure such as Kafka/Rabbit, Kubernetes, and AWS.

• Strong background in PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, including complex query optimization and schema design.

• Demonstrated capability to work on complex, multi-integrated systems where context switching and managing various moving parts are routine.

• Strong analytical abilities and a proven track record of resolving intricate technical problems.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.

• Familiarity with containerization and microservices architecture.

• Adaptability to AI tools and concepts.
