Senior Azure Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical lead for Azure integration and cloud engineering initiatives, offering architectural direction and technical oversight.

• Design, create, and manage Azure Data Factory pipelines, Azure Databricks solutions, and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 environments for enterprise-level data ingestion and transformation.

• Develop secure REST API integrations with the DoD ILER platform and other enterprise systems, ensuring resilience, scalability, and operational excellence.

• Establish engineering standards, coding practices, and design patterns while guiding developers through code reviews and providing technical mentorship.

• Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and conduct monitoring, logging, alerting, and production readiness tasks.

• Create technical documentation, implementation guides, and architecture artifacts, and present technical solutions to leadership and VA stakeholders.

• Assume additional tasks and responsibilities as necessary to support team objectives and ensure project success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience, with over 10 years in software engineering or data engineering.

• More than 5 years of experience in designing and implementing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.

• Strong background in developing enterprise integration solutions using REST APIs, cloud-native services, ETL/ELT architectures, and large-scale data pipelines.

• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, JSON, Git, Azure DevOps, and Azure Monitor.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the capability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams or acting as a technical lead on enterprise software projects, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
