This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and oversee the deployment of highly available, fault-tolerant systems on Microsoft Azure, ensuring multi-region redundancy and disaster recovery.
• Create infrastructure that strictly complies with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2).
• Provision and enhance GPU-based environments tailored for AI/ML workloads, encompassing large-scale model training and inference.
• Develop secure, zero-trust architectures that include private networking, encryption, identity isolation, and least privilege access.
• Execute backup, failover, and business continuity strategies with well-defined RTO/RPO metrics.
• Continuously optimize infrastructure costs through intelligent scaling, reserved capacity, spot instances, and workload management.
• Create Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) for consistent and auditable deployments.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to reliably productionize and scale foundational models.
• Establish observability across systems through logging, monitoring, and alerting, coupled with proactive incident response.
• Perform architecture reviews, risk assessments, and security audits.
• 5–8+ years of direct experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to design high-availability and disaster recovery systems in regulated environments.
• Strong experience in the healthcare sector or other compliance-intensive industries.
• Extensive knowledge of Azure Virtual Machines, VM Scale Sets, and GPU computing.
• Proficient in Azure networking components (VNets, Private Link, ExpressRoute, firewalls).
• Familiarity with storage solutions (Blob, Files, managed disks with redundancy options).
• Experience in implementing compliance frameworks such as HIPAA or SOC 2.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management (RBAC, Azure AD, managed identities).
• Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and containerized workloads.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
