Senior AWS Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and evaluate enterprise-level AWS cloud architectures.

• Establish architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines for cloud platforms.

• Ensure that solutions fulfill requirements for scalability, high availability, security, and disaster recovery.

• Facilitate architecture discussions and technical evaluations with teams from business, security, development, and operations.

• Provide guidance to engineering teams on cloud-native methodologies and implementation choices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.

• Extensive practical experience in cloud, platform, or infrastructure architecture.

• Demonstrated success in delivering comprehensive AWS projects in complex enterprise settings.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC.

• Familiarity with cloud architecture patterns, security by design, IAM, networking, and governance.

• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and CI/CD environments.

• Understanding of containers, microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions at the enterprise level.

• Relevant industry experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, or CDMO environments is highly desirable and will be viewed as a significant advantage.
