This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.
• Oversee the design and execution of tests: Develop and sustain comprehensive test plans, cases, and Playwright scripts for UI and API testing to guarantee extensive test coverage and early detection of defects.
• Define and uphold automation strategy: Contribute to the overarching test strategy and implement best practices for scalable, maintainable, and high-performing automation.
• Enhance automation frameworks: Regularly assess and improve automation frameworks for speed, dependability, and adaptability across various use cases.
• Facilitate CI/CD integration: Establish and maintain automated integration tests within CI/CD pipelines to assure consistent quality throughout the delivery process.
• Foster cross-team collaboration: Collaborate closely with developers, testers, product managers, and business analysts to resolve defects and align testing with project objectives.
• Mentor and support: Offer guidance to mid-level and junior team members, perform code reviews, and encourage knowledge sharing within the QA team.
• Drive reporting and enhancements: Examine test outcomes, produce automation metrics, and convey findings and insights to leadership and stakeholders.
• Tackle intricate testing challenges: Address asynchronous behavior and complex workflows by utilizing Playwright’s advanced features to enhance test stability.
• 5+ years of experience in Automation Test Engineering.
• Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with Playwright for UI and API automation using JavaScript, TypeScript, or a similar language (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
• Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS).
• Extensive experience in API testing, including tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and a solid grasp of API design and validation.
• Practical experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium (or equivalent).
• Familiarity with performance testing methodologies and tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust, LoadRunner).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD integration, including embedding automated tests in pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, X-Ray, TestRail, AQUA).
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
