Senior Automation QC Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and implement manual test cases, scenarios, and scripts for functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, API, and performance testing.

• Conduct exploratory, smoke, and sanity testing prior to releases.

• Perform test cycles, document outcomes, manage defects, and confirm fixes through regression testing.

• Develop, maintain, execute, debug, and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks.

• Expand test coverage and incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where relevant.

• Design, carry out, and evaluate performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.

• Detect performance bottlenecks and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on enhancements.

• Utilize AI-driven tools for test generation, automation scripting, test data creation, defect analysis, and documentation.

• Prepare testing artifacts, quality metrics, status updates, defect summaries, and risk assessments.

• Support and coordinate UAT activities while validating business requirements before production release.

• Investigate root causes of software defects and suggest preventive quality improvements.

• Review requirements and engage throughout the SDLC, including planning, execution, validation, and release phases.

• Mentor junior and mid-level QC engineers, providing technical guidance.

• Collaborate with development, product, business, and infrastructure teams.

• Enhance testing methodologies, quality standards, automation practices, AI-enabled quality engineering, and performance testing strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with equivalent education and work experience.

• Over 6 years of practical experience in software quality control/testing.

• More than 5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing.

• At least 2 years of practical experience in test automation.

• Professional certification such as ISTQB-CTFL or ISTQB-CTAL.

• Experience with manual testing and test automation, including framework development, scripting, and CI/CD integration.

• Proficiency in Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar automation tools and frameworks.

• Proficiency in JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6, or other performance testing tools and frameworks.

• Experience in preparing comprehensive testing artifacts, including test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, defect reports, and test summary reports.

• Experience managing UAT cycles through to successful completion.

• Capability to identify bugs, analyze root causes, and drive resolutions.

• Extensive knowledge of functional, regression, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing methodologies.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills for effective collaboration with QC, development, and business teams.

• Ability to multitask, triage issues, adapt to change, and work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
