This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the management of various projects.
• Address client needs and expectations to ensure that projects adhere to scope, requirements, and deliverables are timely and of superior quality.
• Execute production tasks in addition to project management, meeting the department’s quality and production standards.
• Accountable for upholding departmental audit standards, clinical documentation standards, protocols, and guidelines.
• Evaluate auditor work for precision and provide written and verbal feedback to auditors.
• Conduct audits of medical records to confirm clinical documentation supporting evaluation and management services, ancillary services, procedures, and diagnoses while meeting departmental quality and production benchmarks.
• Investigate regulatory guidelines for supporting documentation.
• Compile audit summary findings, offering detailed comments related to the audit results and making recommendations.
• Assist the team in achieving departmental key performance indicators and goals (SLAs).
• Embrace workforce transformation by engaging in ongoing knowledge enhancement across additional functional areas and/or upskilling (learning new skills) to meet the changing needs of the organization and clients.
• Contribute to organizational improvement by collaborating to identify opportunities for process enhancement and supporting ongoing improvements to workflows and operations that foster quality and efficiency.
• Prepare oral and/or written reports on client and audit activities for the Manager, regularly meeting with them to discuss individual performance, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in coding, billing, auditing, compliance, and reimbursement for physician practices, including CPT, HCPCS, & ICD-10.
• Significant coding experience across multiple specialties.
• In-depth understanding of AMA, OIG, CMS, and other national coding and compliance guidelines.
• Act as a point of contact for clients, offering expert advice and recommendations based on audit outcomes.
• Communicate effectively to ensure clients grasp the complexities of their projects.
• Experience in developing and delivering training materials, PowerPoint presentations, webinars, and reports for physicians, management, and coders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with success.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven approach.
• Ability to think critically and identify the best methods for task completion.
• Capacity to multitask while maintaining a sense of urgency.
• Strong organizational skills and a solid work ethic.
• Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Requires prolonged periods of sitting and using a keyboard and mouse.
• Must meet and maintain departmental production and quality standards.
• Certification Requirements: CPC® CPMA TM or RHIT.
