Senior Auditing Consultant – Inpatient

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conducts inpatient coding audits for facility reporting purposes.

• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of reimbursement systems, including MS-DRG, APR-DRG, IPPPS, APC, and RBRVS.

• Provides educational services to clients, coders, and/or providers based on the findings of audits.

• Evaluates audit results to identify patterns, trends, and critical areas of concern.

• Operates within a virtual office, utilizing a mini desktop computer in a Windows-based environment.

• Upholds strict confidentiality regarding patient and physician information, adhering to all federal, state, and hospital regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS/P, or CPC certifications.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in inpatient auditing is required.

• Familiarity with medical terminology as well as ICD-10 and/or CPT-4 coding is essential.

• Should be detail-oriented and capable of working independently.

• Proficient in using MS Office applications.
