
Senior Associate/Counsel Attorney, Appellate and Advanced Motions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
β’ Conducting thorough research and analysis of intricate legal matters in both state and federal courts.
β’ Composing appellate briefs, petitions, and various other appellate documents.
β’ Preparing and presenting dispositive motions, evidentiary motions, and other crucial pretrial and post-trial motions.
β’ Collaborating with trial teams to devise legal strategies throughout all stages of litigation.
β’ Providing guidance to attorneys and clients on shifting case law, procedural matters, and the preservation of appellate issues.
β’ Assisting trial teams with briefing on complicated legal questions before, during, and after trials.
β’ Partnering closely with attorneys across multiple offices on prominent product liability and complex commercial litigation cases.
β’ Juris Doctor degree from a recognized law school.
β’ Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (preferably in a state where Bowman and Brooke has an office).
β’ Over 3 years of experience in appellate practice, judicial clerkship, complex litigation, or advanced motions.
β’ Proven experience in appellate advocacy, including the preparation of appellate briefs and other appellate documents.
β’ Exceptional skills in legal research, analysis, and persuasive writing.
β’ Experience in drafting and arguing dispositive motions and other complex motions in state and federal courts.
β’ Strong understanding of state and federal procedural and appellate regulations.
β’ Preferred experience in product liability, commercial litigation, insurance defense, or other forms of complex civil litigation.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Remarkable attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
β’ Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
β’ Strong organizational, time management, and project management competencies.
