Senior Associate, Subcontracts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement subcontracting strategies that align with both program and organizational goals.

• Oversee procurement risks while ensuring adherence to procurement policies.

• Lead negotiations to create subcontract agreements with advantageous terms and conditions.

• Manage contracts through their entire lifecycle, ensuring compliance with established terms.

• Monitor and assess subcontractor performance using specified metrics.

• Conduct regular evaluations and audits of subcontractors.

• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and program management teams.

• Identify risks associated with subcontracting and execute mitigation strategies.

• Manage multiple government procurements that support various government programs.

• Clearly explain and communicate policies, procedures, and practices to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Provide guidance and support to fellow employees.

• Travel to supplier site locations 25% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant subcontracts experience.

• Alternatively, a Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of relevant subcontracts experience.

• In the absence of a degree, at least 6 years of relevant subcontracts experience is required.

• Familiarity with supply chain management, lean manufacturing, assembly, and ATP processes.

• Ability to interpret program management, engineering, and supplier requirements in a dynamic environment with minimal oversight.

• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word.

• Experience in managing supplier contracts exceeding the TINA threshold ($2M) with minimal guidance.

• Willingness to travel 25% to supplier site locations.
