Senior Associate, Strategy – Business Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead significant strategic initiatives across Underdog’s core business areas – including prediction markets and fantasy sports – translating vague challenges into clear recommendations for senior leadership.

• Develop and sustain financial models that support critical strategic and commercial choices, encompassing complex multi-party transactions and partnership frameworks.

• Perform thorough analysis of market trends, competitor positioning, and customer behaviors to uncover actionable insights and drive long-term planning.

• Oversee the creation of strategic roadmaps, establishing both short- and long-term objectives along with metrics to monitor progress.

• Act as a bridge between business units, integrating cross-functional inputs and ensuring alignment among product, finance, marketing, and operations.

• Prepare materials for board-level and executive audiences that simplify complex analyses and trends into clear narratives.

• Identify and assess new business prospects, partnerships, and adjacent opportunities that align with Underdog’s growth strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy, with a proven ability to work independently on high-stakes projects with executive stakeholders.

• Exceptional financial modeling abilities; adept at constructing models from the ground up and rigorously testing assumptions against both internal and external data sources.

• Strong analytical skills and structured thinking, with a history of transforming data into actionable decisions.

• Articulate communicator capable of influencing individuals at all levels – from analysts to C-suite executives – in both written and verbal forms.

• Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where priorities change and resourcefulness is essential.

• Genuine enthusiasm for sports and the evolving landscape of consumer and prediction markets.
