Senior Associate, Investments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the comprehensive process of asset dispositions, encompassing asset analysis, evaluation of returns, selection of brokers, discussions with buyers, negotiations of Purchase and Sale Agreements, due diligence, and closing procedures.

• Review and provide insights on the most effective asset strategies to enhance investment returns.

• Coordinate hold/sell analyses and develop associated strategies.

• Lead regular portfolio valuations and updates on scenario analyses.

• Maintain and foster relationships with external attorneys and brokers.

• Collaborate with Asset Management, Financial Operations, and Debt Capital Markets teams to optimize asset positioning for capital-market activities.

• Identify specific assets or markets based on actionable trends.

• Analyze portfolio performance to ensure that asset business plans are on track.

• Work collaboratively to adjust business plans as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in multifamily asset management, portfolio management, and/or investment.

• Ideally, experience gained within a private equity setting covering various markets.

• Hands-on deal-execution experience, including leading multiple simultaneous negotiations and closings of Purchase Agreements, particularly for dispositions.

• Ability to read and understand legal documents, such as purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements, and title reports.

• Capacity to confidently discuss detailed multifamily operational strategies and investment positioning.

• Strong attention to detail, as well as comprehension, negotiation, and analytical skills.

• Proficient in managing multiple projects, adhering to tight deadlines, and maintaining high levels of accuracy.

• Capability to build robust organizational relationships and establish credibility.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

• Willingness to travel as required.
