• Offers support and services for the Investment Operations division catering to BMO’s business stakeholders and clients.
• Implements and manages Investment product and service procedures, ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory standards as well as operational guidelines.
• Collects and organizes data into regular and ad-hoc reports, along with dashboards.
• Assists in change management of varying scopes and types, primarily focusing on execution and sustainment tasks.
• May serve as a problem-solving resource for junior team members.
• Structures work information to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
• Performs routine tasks such as service requests, transactions, and queries within applicable service level agreements.
• Ensures precise and timely processing of transactions, activities, and services to meet stakeholder requests while adhering to regulatory and risk controls.
• Delivers accurate, consistent, and knowledgeable responses to inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Adheres to documented policies and procedures to carry out daily transactions, activities, and processes, fulfilling all Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Reviews and reconciles information and documentation to confirm accuracy and completeness.
• Analyzes data and information to offer insights and suggestions.
• Identifies and assesses issues and problems, resolving them promptly or escalating when necessary.
• Engages and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Builds and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to execute tasks and meet service delivery expectations.
• Develops and sustains an understanding of the regulatory requirements and risks inherent in operations to take appropriate actions and uphold operational integrity.
• Contributes to the development and implementation of new processes/systems and enhancements to existing systems and processes.
• Aids in the creation of tools and the delivery of training aimed at achieving business results.
• Completes complex and varied tasks within established rules/limits, which may include addressing escalations from other employees.
• Generally possesses 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• A post-secondary degree in a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient knowledge and experience with relevant systems and technology – Good.
• Good understanding of the business unit’s key products, services, processes, and controls.
• Familiarity with the risk and regulatory requirements of the business – Good.
• Strong prioritization skills – Good.
• Technical proficiency (Livelink, CFM, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – Good.
• CPA or CFA certification is considered an asset.
