Senior Associate – Business Process Risk Advisory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop a thorough understanding of the designated clients’ goals, along with their regulatory and risk management landscape.

• Support projects focused on Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance and Internal Controls.

• Conduct risk assessments taking into account the risk of misstatement and potential fraud in financial reporting.

• Evaluate the adequacy of internal controls' design to address financial, operational, and compliance risks.

• Detect control deficiencies and areas for enhancement, designing controls in a greenfield setting. Create comprehensive remediation plans to address these gaps.

• Demonstrate expertise in developing internal controls process flows and risk/control matrices.

• Uphold the necessary level of technical skill and professional diligence required for completing assignments in accordance with COSO, COBIT, auditing standards, and associated control methodologies.

• Establish priorities, ensuring daily collaboration among the project team, and track progress against timelines, budgets, project/task deliverables, and status updates.

• Engage in extensive communication with clients to manage expectations and report on the current status of ongoing projects.

• Provide oral and written presentations during and upon project completion, offering recommendations for improvements or addressing any operational/financial shortcomings to executive leadership.

• Remain informed about emerging risk areas and associated control strategies.

• Enhance and sustain a network of industry contacts while establishing new long-term relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting.

• Relevant certifications are preferred, such as CPA, CIA, and/or CISA.

• At least 3 years of experience, primarily in external audit or risk advisory positions.

• Proven understanding of business risks, internal controls over financial reporting, SOX, and the COSO framework.
