This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and assess specific accounting records related to the Bank.

• Ensure the timely preparation, review, and submission of regulatory filings, encompassing Call Reports, FR Y-series reports, FDIC filings, and other mandated regulatory documents.

• Conduct reconciliations, validations, and analytical assessments to guarantee the completeness and accuracy of the information reported.

• Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Risk, Operations, and Data teams to collect, validate, and comprehend data utilized in regulatory reporting.

• Work alongside the Financial Reporting team to support bank-related disclosures featured in SEC filings, which include regulatory capital, deposits, and liquidity, ensuring that the underlying data, analyses, and supporting documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory standards.

• Investigate regulatory reporting guidelines and assist in adopting reporting modifications arising from new products, business activities, or regulatory changes.

• Recognize reporting challenges, data discrepancies, and control weaknesses, and propose practical solutions to enhance reporting quality and efficiency.

• Assist in regulatory examinations, internal audits, and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing information requests.

• Maintain regulatory reporting processes, controls documentation, and reporting evidence to comply with governance standards.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving processes and automating systems to bolster reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• Over 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, regulatory reporting, or a related role within a regulated financial institution.

• Proven experience in preparing, reviewing, or assisting with bank regulatory reports, including Call Reports, FR Y-series reports, or similar regulatory filings.

• Experience in performing reconciliations, controls, data validation, and analytical review processes.

• Background in supporting internal audits, external audits, or regulatory examinations.

• Experience within a bank, a fintech with a banking partner, or another regulated financial institution.

• Familiarity with FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCC, and FFIEC reporting requirements and guidelines.

• Understanding of U.S. GAAP and its relationship with regulatory reporting requirements.

• Experience with regulatory reporting systems, data warehouses, or reporting automation tools.

• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.

• CPA or other professional certification in accounting and financial reporting.
