Senior Associate, Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a substantial caseload of intricate administrative appeals related to denied healthcare insurance claims.

• Compose appeal letters, reconsideration requests, and various legal communications directed at commercial and government payers.

• Evaluate managed care agreements, provider manuals, medical policies, and both federal and state regulations to formulate reimbursement strategies.

• Investigate complex legal, contractual, and regulatory matters that impact healthcare reimbursement.

• Collaborate with clinical review nurses, resolution specialists, and client representatives to devise appeal strategies.

• Recognize denial patterns, payer behaviors, and emerging reimbursement challenges, and propose enhancements to recovery results.

• Create client communications, legal analyses, and industry insights regarding reimbursement trends and regulatory changes.

• Maintain productivity and quality standards while effectively managing competing priorities in a remote setting.

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, client confidentiality standards, and relevant federal and state regulations.

• Act as a subject matter expert by imparting knowledge and advising colleagues.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

• Direct experience in managing healthcare revenue cycles.
