This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute, oversee, and assess intricate accounting tasks, such as reconciliations, journal entries, expense coding, bill payments, and accounts receivable for various entities.
• Manage annual accounting processes to prepare documentation for tax filings, including 1099s and tangible personal property returns.
• Create and evaluate compilations on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis in accordance with client specifications.
• Detect significant misstatements and assess discrepancies within financial reports.
• Develop client cash flow projections and monitor project performance against established budgets.
• Examine organizational frameworks and their financial implications to ensure precise accounting practices.
• Provide training and review the work of associates, offering constructive feedback to promote their development.
• Effectively communicate with team members and clients to discuss project updates and address inquiries.
• Enhance team performance through collaboration, offering assistance, and sharing knowledge.
• Engage in professional growth through training opportunities and self-directed learning.
• Manage numerous engagements and prioritize tasks to adhere to deadlines.
• Execute additional responsibilities and demonstrate flexibility to undertake various tasks assigned by firm leadership.
• Achieve annual billable hour goals and other objectives to satisfy individual performance metrics and overall firm productivity.
• 3-5 years of experience in general accounting.
• CPA license or eligibility (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline.
• Strong grasp of complex accounting principles, including GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in learning and utilizing accounting software and related tools.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities for effective collaboration and client engagement.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Accurate mathematical and financial analysis capabilities.
• Capacity to work independently while also mentoring junior team members and seeking guidance from leadership as necessary.
• Analytical mindset to identify and resolve inconsistencies in financial reporting.
• Proven problem-solving abilities, proactively proposing solutions to relevant stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude towards delivering an outstanding customer experience in a multi-client setting.
