Senior Associate, Agriculture Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.

📋 Description

• Plan, execute, and coordinate inspections of agricultural loan collateral, which includes livestock, feed, and receivables.

• Conduct on-site verification and assess accounting records to identify collateral risks and quality.

• Collaborate with lending and credit management to evaluate risks and select borrowers.

• Efficiently prepare collateral examination reports, concentrating on critical areas of credit risk.

• Offer subject matter expertise and guidance to customers, lenders, management, and other stakeholders.

• Communicate findings, issues, and recommendations both in writing and verbally.

• Review operational practices and collaborate across the organization to enhance departmental resources.

• Support productivity goals while clearly communicating findings and analyzing challenging situations.

• Maintain and demonstrate an understanding of pertinent agricultural industry issues and trends.

• Foster positive working relationships and implement operational changes that enhance the customer experience.

• Develop, communicate, and pursue actionable goals that align with company and departmental objectives.

• Adhere to bank policies, laws, regulations, and the BSA/AML Program.

• Complete compliance training and follow internal procedures and controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, agricultural business, or a related field.

• Familiarity with agricultural lending and collateral analysis.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and diplomatic skills.

• Understanding of accounting concepts, agricultural practices, and systems.

• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays, up to 50% for agricultural inspections.

• Proficient in MS Excel.

• Demonstrated analytical skills.

• Experience using AI tools for analysis.

• Unrestricted work authorization.
