
Senior Assistant Vice President – Patient Access Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Collaborate with sales and account leaders to develop a pipeline, qualify opportunities, and enhance revenue across patient access and associated front-end revenue-cycle services.
• Facilitate or assist in discovery workshops, client meetings, and executive discussions.
• Provide expertise in areas such as scheduling, registration, referrals, eligibility, financial clearance, prior authorization, collections, and patient communications.
• Convert client requirements, operational data, and performance challenges into cohesive solutions that address workflows, staffing, governance, SLAs, implementation, technology, analytics, automation, and outcomes.
• Prepare and evaluate proposals, presentations, RFP responses, statements of work, business cases, and solution narratives.
• Assist with pricing assumptions, effort estimates, client presentations, opportunity progress, and conversion.
• Develop and enhance EXL's patient access proposition, operating model, playbooks, diagnostics, architectures, reusable content, demos, case studies, and outcome measures.
• Design patient access solutions incorporating CCaaS, conversational AI, agent assist, interaction analytics, workflow automation, digital front-door capabilities, and EHR-integrated workflows.
• Coordinate efforts across sales, operations, transition, technology, digital, analytics, finance, legal, and delivery teams.
• Contribute to thought leadership, conferences, partner discussions, analyst briefings, and account strategies.
• Oversee the transition from sales to implementation while remaining engaged during the initial mobilization phase.
• A bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, operations, technology, or a related field.
• Over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in healthcare provider operations, consulting, solutioning, sales, or transformation, with significant responsibility for patient access.
• Preferred prior experience managing patient access functions within a health system organization.
• In-depth knowledge of CX technology platforms such as Genesys, NICE, Google, and Amelia.
• Practical experience with scheduling, registration, eligibility, referrals, financial clearance, prior-authorization intake, or patient contact-center operations.
• Experience in engaging in client pursuits and developing solutions, proposals, presentations, or RFP responses.
• Proven track record in supporting revenue growth, new-logo acquisition, account expansion, or converting advisory and operational opportunities.
• Familiarity with health systems, IDNs, academic medical centers, ambulatory networks, or large specialty provider organizations.
• Understanding of leading EHR and patient access ecosystems.
• Valued experience with Epic scheduling or similar EHR workflows.
• Willingness to travel to client and EXL locations as necessary.
• Strong grasp of provider patient access operations and related operational, financial, and patient-experience outcomes.
• Capability to design integrated solutions encompassing people, processes, technology, analytics, and governance.
• Excellent executive communication skills.
• Working knowledge of managed-services economics, pricing inputs, transition assumptions, service levels, dependencies, and risks.
• Practical understanding of EHR scheduling, Epic, Oracle, CCaaS platforms, CRM tools, digital front-door solutions, conversational AI, automation, and reporting.
• Ability to structure solutions focused on access, conversion, productivity, patient experience, revenue capture, quality, and cost-to-serve outcomes.
• Capacity to manage multiple pursuits and deliver client-ready outputs within deadlines.
• Current knowledge of provider priorities, patient access trends, relevant platforms, competitors, and emerging AI-enabled operating models.
