Senior Asset Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct hydraulic modeling for designated gas and water pipeline systems utilizing Synergi Gas and Synergi Water.

• Evaluate drilling timelines, development scenarios, and third-party activities to assess their impact on systems and infrastructure requirements.

• Define the scope and conceptually design projects related to pipelines, compression, dehydration, water handling, and interconnections.

• Analyze and confirm capacity across gathering systems, regulated transmission pipelines, and storage infrastructures.

• Create and uphold long-term (5+ years) capital and asset development strategies based on aggregated production forecasts.

• Recognize opportunities for system optimization to enhance capital efficiency, minimize operational pressures, and synchronize infrastructure development with production demands.

• Draft and convey technical documentation that details operating pressures, system capacities, limitations, and suggested solutions.

• Assist commercial, growth, and economic assessments by offering hydraulic modeling, infrastructure scoping, and technical contributions in partnership with finance and growth teams.

• Ensure compliance with internal planning guidelines, engineering best practices, and business procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil, mechanical, or petroleum preferred).

• Over 5 years of relevant industry experience.

• Proven expertise in gas gathering and transmission system hydraulics.

• Proficient in Synergi Gas and/or Synergi Water or equivalent hydraulic modeling software.

• Experience in scoping projects related to pipelines, compression, dehydration, and water infrastructure.

• Background in supporting long-term planning, capital optimization, and system debottlenecking efforts.

• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to convert technical findings into business insights.

• Familiarity with liquids or process modeling using ProMax or Aspen HYSYS software (preferred).

• Capacity to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats, including technical documentation.
