This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Regional Business Leader to ensure alignment with the sales team's overall goals and strategies.

• Establish trusted relationships with healthcare providers and multidisciplinary care teams, providing expert insights and ensuring they have the necessary tools to initiate patients on suitable therapies.

• Develop and sustain strong working relationships with target healthcare professionals (HCPs) to enhance knowledge of the assigned therapeutic area, including the safety and efficacy of Acadia’s products.

• Deliver MLR-approved, education-focused messages and therapeutic area disease-state information to target HCPs, empowering them with tools to facilitate meaningful patient conversations.

• Strategically plan and implement territory business plans to consistently surpass goals, achieving call activity, adherence targets, and financial objectives for the designated territory.

• Cultivate and maintain strong connections with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and relevant stakeholders within your territory.

• Address customer concerns promptly and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues effectively.

• Analyze sales potential and optimize outreach to maximize results while adhering to budget and compliance guidelines.

• Collaborate effortlessly with cross-functional teams to align strategies and provide exceptional support to patients and providers.

• Engage in local and national patient advocacy events, weekend events, conferences, and training sessions to stay informed about industry trends.

• Keep abreast of market trends and Acadia’s products, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of your therapeutic area.

• Maintain a positive, solutions-oriented mindset while thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Guide customers regarding product pricing and access, serving as a liaison with internal teams for more complex inquiries.

• Exhibit professionalism, accountability, and compliance in all responsibilities.

• Actively seek personal and professional development opportunities, embracing leadership roles as they arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a strong preference for life sciences.

• To qualify for the Area Business Manager position, a minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience is required, including at least 1 year in specialty sales (emphasis on rare diseases).

• To qualify for the Sr. Area Business Manager role, at least 8 years of pharmaceutical sales experience is required, including 5 years in specialty sales (emphasis on rare diseases).

• Preferred experience in specialty sales, which includes rare diseases, CNS/neurology, or pediatric neurology, along with familiarity with specialty distribution and access.

• Advanced selling and dialogue skills, with the ability to forge lasting relationships with KOLs, Centers of Excellence, and multidisciplinary care teams.

• Proven ability to work cross-functionally to develop and execute actionable business plans that ensure patient access to therapy.

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, complemented by a self-motivated and proactive attitude.

• Must reside within the territory, possess a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel extensively, including overnight stays and air travel.

• Must be in good standing with the FDA and OIG.

• Requires significant daily driving of a company-provided car as well as overnight travel based on the territory’s geography. Air travel is also necessary, depending on the territory’s geography, for trips to the Company’s headquarters and for regional and national meetings and events.
