Senior Applications Developer, Incentive Planning, Finance Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Anaplan system architecture for sales incentive compensation, which includes model design, calculation logic, territory hierarchies, and plan management.

• Design and oversee the Databricks data warehouse architecture, including data models, warehouse management, and the reporting and analytics infrastructure.

• Build and maintain Fivetran pipelines to transfer Anaplan data into Databricks.

• Develop and sustain Python- and SQL-based data pipelines employing object-oriented design and API integrations.

• Transfer data from Salesforce, Workday, and Zuora into Anaplan.

• Take charge of development operations, including CI/CD pipeline management and GitLab repository oversight.

• Ensure that data pipelines and integration workflows adhere to SOX audit controls.

• Enhance the team’s AI technical stack, incorporating Claude Code integration and Databricks end-user performance reporting applications.

• Collaborate with sales leaders and business stakeholders on variable compensation planning, analysis, reporting, and payouts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience as a data engineer or application developer in a mid-to-large sized technology firm.

• Experience, preferably in sales operations, finance, or incentive compensation.

• Strong interest in emerging technologies, particularly AI-assisted development tools and workflows.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Experience in object-oriented design and API integration development.

• Familiarity with Databricks, data warehouse design, SQL development, and end-user reporting applications.

• Experience with Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) for CI/CD deployment.

• Knowledge of Terraform and YAML-based infrastructure provisioning is advantageous.

• Experience with Fivetran or similar ETL tools is a plus.

• Hands-on knowledge and experience with Anaplan, Salesforce, Workday, and Zuora, including API integration and implementation.

• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Must reside in an eligible U.S. location; U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 states, with some limitations.
