This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Design and present value propositions by upselling products while gaining a deep understanding of customer needs and business challenges.
• Examine, assess, and resolve customer product-related issues, suggesting the most suitable products, systems, and solutions.
• Skillfully visualize and articulate the value of proposed solutions, ensuring the delivery of substantial and measurable benefits to customers.
• Create case studies based on laboratory data, pilot testing outcomes, and benchmark information to bolster value-driven proposals and decision-making processes.
• Offer technical support to Sales teams and customers to guarantee proper product application and successful execution of projects.
• Work collaboratively with Sales and customers regarding product usage, application, and system performance.
• Assist with plant commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting at customer locations.
• Assess the performance of new and existing products through on-site support and pilot testing.
• Analyze plant and returned membrane data, communicating findings and solutions clearly.
• Supervise pilot unit operations and lead the RGA program.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; 6 years of directly relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the water industry is preferred.
• Experience with Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM), architectural and engineering firms, or chemical manufacturing companies is advantageous.
• Strong foundational knowledge of water chemistry concepts, fluid dynamics, and water pressure, alongside analytical methods in chemistry and technical writing standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration, and Microfiltration processes and products, including the construction and manufacturing of Spiral Wound elements and Capillary Modules, modes of operation, and failure of membrane systems, as well as the effects of foulants and cleaning chemicals on membrane products. Intermediate knowledge of plant processes is a plus.
• Demonstrated application of critical thinking skills along with outstanding problem-solving capabilities. Ability to perform analytical evaluations, identify root causes of failures, and recommend corrective actions to enhance product performance.
• Capacity to proactively engage with customers using a strategic mindset to identify value creation opportunities, influence customer decision-making, and contribute to account growth through aligned technical and commercial strategies.
• Ability to respond proactively to training, technical support, and customer service needs within standardized operating processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other enterprise software tools like JD Edwards.
• Strong language skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
• Capable of writing clear processes, manuals, and reports for management review, presenting technical information in an understandable manner, and responding to inquiries from groups of customers, employees, and/or the public.
• Familiarity with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods and adapt to a flexible schedule.
• Bilingual or multilingual in languages commonly used by Nitto Group of Companies employees and/or customers.
