Senior Application Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Ensure the security of software design and establish secure implementation practices by collaborating with teams responsible for product development.

• Facilitate smooth security-related communication among technical teams involved in product release, acting as a connecting force to ensure alignment.

• Plan and oversee the development of security tools within the team.

• Create tasks for conducting security reviews of the product (including SAST, DAST, SCA results, and application security testing).

• Collaborate with product teams to stay informed about changes made to the product early on, enabling informed security decisions.

• Ensure thorough testing of mobile and desktop applications, as well as browser extensions.

• Support both internal and external audits.

• Design and deliver training aimed at raising security engineering awareness and promoting adoption.

• Actively identify internal security gaps within the product or across the organization.

• Address security inquiries and provide guidance regarding the security direction of the product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in assessing the security of mobile and desktop applications, including planning, testing, methodologies, and vulnerability reporting.

• Strong understanding of network operations (OSI and TCP/IP models), particularly in relation to VPNs.

• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to define the scope of security tests and identify remediation actions for any identified vulnerabilities.

• Knowledge of secure coding standards.

• A sense of ownership accompanied by robust problem-solving and investigative skills.

• Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Android, iOS, macOS, Windows) and their security concerns.

• Capability to build and maintain relationships, influencing key stakeholders across the organization.

• Ability to make product-related business decisions based on identified threats and vulnerabilities.

• A balanced assertiveness combined with a willingness to compromise.
