This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and execute secure development methodologies, including code evaluations and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Detect application vulnerabilities via both automated and manual testing processes.
• Spearhead Shift Left initiatives to incorporate security measures early in the development lifecycle.
• Educate and collaborate with Security Champions within development teams.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for application security, aiding developers with vulnerability reproduction, risk assessment, and mitigation tactics.
• Manage and enhance tools within the Application Security program, including open-source solutions.
• Work alongside product, engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to align security with business goals.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and resolve application-related security incidents.
• Facilitate threat modeling sessions and conduct risk evaluations.
• Establish and incorporate security requirements into system and application architecture.
• Perform security audits and vulnerability evaluations; uphold security controls and documentation.
• Stay informed about emerging threats, compliance obligations, and security awareness campaigns.
• Develop secure standards and design frameworks for AI-enabled applications, LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and model tool-use interfaces.
• Design, execute, and validate AI security guardrails.
• Oversee adversarial testing of AI and LLM applications, mapping findings to OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS, and NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
• Evaluate AI use cases, third-party AI functionalities, model providers, data flows, and retention policies.
• Maintain the application security overview of the AI application inventory and enforce NPI handling protocols.
• Set secure usage standards for AI coding assistants, including human oversight, scanning coverage, and measures against the exposure of secrets and intellectual property.
• Propel long-term security initiatives to successful completion.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, or a related field is preferred.
• At least five years of experience as a Software Developer or in a comparable role.
• Capability to organize and manage multiple priorities concurrently.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must demonstrate discretion when handling confidential information.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills are essential.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities are required.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; must thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based tools, and third-party software applications is required.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
• Capacity to accurately perceive, differentiate, and interpret visually and through audio.
• Ability to learn new tasks, retain processes, maintain focus, complete tasks autonomously, and make timely decisions.
• Availability to work primarily Monday–Friday during the business week.
