This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Revamp and transition legacy web application features to an Angular-driven architecture.
• Create responsive user interfaces utilizing Angular, RxJS, PrimeNG, HTML, and CSS.
• Evaluate legacy code and current functionalities to ensure business requirements are met during the migration process.
• Develop, modify, debug, and test application code.
• Engage in peer code reviews and apply the feedback received.
• Create and upkeep unit tests.
• Diagnose and fix development, integration, and testing issues.
• Connect Angular components with Java/Spring services and REST APIs.
• Take part in Agile/Scrum practices including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Assess user stories and acceptance criteria prior to development.
• Document technical solutions, development choices, and modifications to the application.
• Propose enhancements to development processes, code quality, and operational efficiency.
• Share expertise and mentor less-experienced developers.
• Operate independently while collaborating with a geographically distributed development team.
• At least three years of experience in web-based application development.
• Proficiency with Angular, JPA, RxJS, PrimeNG, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in a minimum of two application layers: presentation/user interface, business objects/application logic, or persistence/database connectivity and access.
• Knowledge of multi-tier application design and development.
• Ability to adhere to established application architecture, frameworks, and coding standards.
• Experience in creating object-oriented applications using MVC and recognized design patterns.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Preferred: experience with Java, Java Servlets, J2EE, Spring, Legacy Struts, RESTful services, ORM, Maven, automated testing, Git or SVN, Java EE servers, Oracle and SQL/PLSQL, DevOps/DevSecOps, Agile/Scrum, user story development, and sprint backlog management.
• Preferred: technical or professional certifications from recognized organizations such as Oracle, CompTIA, Red Hat, or PMI.
• Preferred: familiarity with USMC systems, processes, and culture.
• Ability to comprehend complex legacy applications and convert functionality into Angular solutions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving requirements, priorities, and technical challenges.
• Eagerness to investigate and implement new technologies and development practices.
• Ability to mentor and assist less-experienced team members.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a full-time telework setting as part of a team of 6–10 members.
