Senior Application Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +43 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and execute intricate enterprise software solutions.

• Collaborate effectively with data modelers, architects, business analysts, data stewards, and subject matter experts.

• Provide expertise in design, technical analysis, development/configuration, testing, implementation, and support.

• Create, enhance, and re-engineer Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and tables for correspondence data.

• Take ownership of, maintain, and improve the in-house letter application utilizing SQL Server, C#, Word document generation, and SSIS PDF conversion.

• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document conversion workflows.

• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs using ActiveBatch.

• Conduct data analysis, testing, and provide production support.

• Investigate and resolve data, performance, and letter-generation issues.

• Create and update technical documentation, including designs, data flows, and support procedures.

• Communicate issues to both business and technical stakeholders and design/model solutions.

• Contribute to the development of data marts, EDI X12 processes, EDW feeds, and report generation.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Adhere to all policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).

• 4–6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience gained through applicable knowledge, responsibilities, scope, and skills.

• 4–6 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server development, encompassing T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, index creation, and performance tuning.

• 3+ years of experience in C# development.

• 3+ years of experience in SSIS development.

• EDI experience preferred.

• Experience with Healthcare/Managed Care Data is preferred.

• Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is preferred.
