Senior Application Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee application development, maintenance, modernization, and lifecycle management initiatives.

• Convert business and technical needs into scalable software solutions.

• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and enhance enterprise applications utilizing C#, MVC, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL Server.

• Create and integrate REST and SOAP APIs, web services, and enterprise system integrations.

• Establish automated business processes using BPMN and low-code/no-code platforms, including Appian, Salesforce, and Nintex.

• Develop web applications with React, Vue.js, Node.js, and Telerik Kendo UI.

• Assist in application deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps activities utilizing Azure DevOps, Azure DevOps Server, AWS, and Azure.

• Resolve complex issues related to applications, databases, infrastructure, and integrations.

• Work with enterprise databases, messaging, caching, monitoring, and scheduling technologies such as SQL Server, RabbitMQ, Redis, Quartz.NET, and Splunk.

• Employ development and testing tools including Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, TestComplete, TestExecute, NuGet, and NPM.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.

• Create technical and user documentation and facilitate application training.

• Identify areas for enhancing application performance, reliability, security, and efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of applicable software development or application engineering experience.

• In-depth expertise in application sustainment and software lifecycle management.

• Strong background in Microsoft .NET and SQL Server development.

• Proficiency in C#, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell, JSON, XML/XSD, and WSDL.

• Experience in developing APIs and integrating enterprise applications and databases.

• Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms and BPMN-based process automation, such as Appian, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.

• Experience with Agile and/or hybrid development methodologies.

• Background in managing large-scale database systems and complex enterprise applications.

• Experience as an application programmer on large-scale DBMS with knowledge of computer systems.

• Familiarity with cloud environments, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.

• Excellent analytical, communication, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.

• IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive clearance or Tier 3 (T3) investigation.

• Preferred experience in federal government contracting.

• Experience with enterprise application modernization and systems integration is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with integrating Appian, Salesforce, Nintex, or similar platforms with Microsoft .NET and SQL Server is preferred.

• Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring to developers is desirable.

• Preferred experience with MadCap Flare, Moodle, Bitvise SSH Server, or similar tools.

• Ability to obtain or maintain a Secret-level security clearance is preferred.
