This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Leads the assessment of needs, software design, implementation, and support.
• Works in conjunction with the reporting team to assist operational partners in gathering requirements.
• Independently facilitates the design of workflows alongside relevant subject matter experts; these workflows aim to enhance efficiencies, resolve intricate workflow challenges, and incorporate quality initiatives.
• Mentors fellow analysts in executing design workflows and conducting analysis.
• Oversees functional and integrated testing of the software to ensure that design objectives are achieved, including the creation and validation of testing scripts.
• Defines and establishes user access security to safeguard the system while providing necessary access to users.
• Supervises, reviews, and transitions builds to production as needed.
• Possesses a deep understanding of clinical or business department processes and collaborates with these departments to create supportive workflows.
• Assesses the potential implementation of new technologies that align with the objective of enhancing current systems and technologies to meet business needs.
• Actively participates in operational meetings to offer Information Technology support and expertise.
• Conducts unit testing for all assigned builds and assists other application analysts as required.
• Directs functional and integrated software testing to ensure that design objectives are fulfilled, including the development and validation of testing scripts.
• Develops, modifies, and maintains integrated testing scripts relevant to their areas.
• Manages projects in accordance with the framework of the Enterprise Project Management Office, overseeing all project phases from scoping and design to implementation and transition to operations.
• Collaborates across teams to formulate change management strategies and plans for implementations.
• Develops strategies to address system change impacts when implementing new functionalities.
• Provides support and troubleshooting for interfaces related to inbound/outbound transaction errors; assists in monitoring interface error queues.
• Resolves application issues, with or without vendor assistance, to achieve resolution.
• Leads the escalation of issues with the appropriate internal resources until resolution is achieved.
• Independently manages application upgrade tasks and troubleshooting efforts while advising application analysts and leadership.
• Maintains security protocols for assigned applications.
• Develops policies and procedures in collaboration with clinicians, other system analyst team members, and the IT Epic team manager.
• Creates and maintains system documentation, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
• Guides team members in adhering to documentation standards and coordinates efforts to sustain appropriate system documentation.
• Contributes to the development of end-user training materials and takes part in training initiatives.
• High School Equivalent / GED (Required) and Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems/Business/Healthcare Related Field (Preferred)
• 4+ years of experience in designing, configuring, testing, and maintaining Epic applications (Required)
• 2+ years of experience in a healthcare-related IT environment (Preferred)
• Detail-oriented and organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities (Required proficiency)
• Excellent client service, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills (Required proficiency)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment (Required proficiency)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (Required proficiency)
• Proficiency in MS Office/MS Visio/MS Project (Required proficiency)
• Familiarity with ITIL standards is desirable (Preferred proficiency)
• Knowledge of SQL databases (Preferred proficiency)
• Understanding of disaster recovery and backup procedures (Preferred proficiency)
• Experience with HL7 Interfaces (Required proficiency)
• Experience with SQL-based applications (Preferred proficiency)
• Epic Application Certification (Required)
• Resolute Hospital Billings Claims certification is strongly preferred
• Provides 24 x 7 support through scheduled and routine assignments for on-call rotation.
• Adheres to change control processes as per best practices and established procedures to safeguard the system(s).
