This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Accountable for overseeing Revenue Cycle Services and collaborating with other departments to resolve billing issues and denials that require clinical expertise.
• Tasked with investigating, managing, and addressing claim denials and rejections for your designated client.
• Take full responsibility for all facets of the billing cycle for your assigned clients, including Charges, Payments, and AR metrics and performance.
• Stay focused on achieving all necessary deadlines and timeframes to meet both customer and company demands.
• Aid in creating processes and procedures tailored for each assigned account.
• Monitor and evaluate current industry trends and issues for potential impact on the organization.
• Regularly communicate with your assigned clients to inform them of identified trends and suggested resolutions.
• Work collaboratively with all departments to guarantee billing accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide timely reports to the management team; initiate and convey the resolution of issues such as payer denial trends, collection accounts, and inaccuracies in charges.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, standards, and laws.
• Support any additional projects as directed by Operations leadership.
• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: 1-2 Years of Medical Accounts Receivable Experience; Athena experience is highly preferred.
• Preferred Skills:
• - Knowledge of ICD10 and CPT.
• - Computer Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Medical Billing Software Systems.
• - Understanding of the full cycle revenue model.
• - Comprehensive knowledge of ICD and CPT applications, correct practices, and tools used in the healthcare industry, along with audits.
• - Capability to interpret documents, medical records, and other materials related to medical claims.
• - Strong technical and computer skills (PM/EHR Software, Excel, Outlook, MS Office, Web).
• - Ability to identify and address trends within your workflow.
• - Experience in Behavioral Health is preferred.
