Patient Billing Representative

📋 Description

• Become a Patient Billing Specialist and assist patients with payment processing, billing education, insurance verification, and inquiries related to claims.

• This position provides compassionate, precise, and compliant service while navigating the complexities of healthcare billing systems and policies.

• Agents are responsible for all aspects of payment processing and payment plans, as well as advanced support in billing, insurance, and claims.

• This is a remote opportunity available to individuals residing in AL, GA, ID, IA, IN, KS, LA, MI, MS, NV, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TX, TN, UT, VA, WV, WI, WY.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in customer service or call centers is mandatory.

• Strong preference for candidates with experience in healthcare billing, insurance, or claims.

• Preference given to those with experience in payment processing or financial transactions.

• A high school diploma or GED is required; additional education in billing or healthcare is advantageous.

• Proficiency in EMR systems and standard computer applications is necessary.

• Capability to work independently in a remote or virtual setting is essential.

• Must possess the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.

• A background check is required in accordance with applicable laws.

🏝️ Benefits

• Starting pay is $14/hr with an additional shift differential of $1/hr for nights and weekends.

• Working hours are between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm (EST); Workdays are Monday through Friday.

• Paid training typically lasts for 2 weeks, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday (EST).

• Employment status is full-time at 40 hours per week, with benefits available on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
