Senior API, Microservices Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Revitalize an existing application utilizing Spring Boot, Cloud technologies, and modern Java (version 17 and above)

• Decompose monolithic elements into standalone, loosely interconnected modules or microservices

• Connect with current EPA systems, databases, and APIs

• Apply and uphold best practices for security

• Create thorough unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; perform code reviews and guide junior developers

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of relevant experience

• US Citizenship is mandatory

• Proficiency in Core Java (version 21)

• Familiarity with the Spring Boot ecosystem, including Spring-data repositories

• Strong understanding of REST API design utilizing Spring controllers

• Experience with JPA / Hibernate for relational database design (e.g., Oracle)

• Knowledge of Junit / Mockito

• Proficient in Git and GitHub

• Familiarity with AI tools, especially Copilot

• Experience with Bruno or other API testing tools

• Knowledge of Open-API / Swagger

• Proficient in Maven

• Understanding of microservice architecture

• Skills in performance optimization

• Experience in applications for government or regulated industries is advantageous
