This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of developing and maintaining enterprise data models utilized across various business functions.
• Design and execute ETL/ELT pipelines that facilitate the movement, transformation, and enhancement of data throughout the stack.
• Construct transformations adhering to established modeling standards.
• Enhance data reliability through rigorous testing, comprehensive documentation, and thoughtful design.
• Provide reliable attributes to downstream tools and aid in activating workflows.
• Contribute to modeling conventions, review protocols, and overarching data strategy.
• Ensure a stable warehouse environment through performance optimization and effective cost management.
• Collaborate with business teams to establish metrics, segmentation criteria, and lifecycle attributes.
• Work alongside application engineers, analysts, and ML/AI stakeholders to create targeted data solutions.
• Create stable, governed, high-trust data environments and gold-layer models that are essential for business functions.
• Demonstrated experience in a cloud warehouse setting with knowledge of warehouse performance and cost management.
• Practical experience with relational databases, encompassing schema design, query optimization, indexing, and administration.
• Accountability for production data models relied upon by other teams.
• Experience in building transformations utilizing a version-controlled workflow.
• Profound understanding of dimensional modeling with clear justifications for modeling choices.
• Proficient in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience in enhancing data quality through testing, documentation, and thoughtful design.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, role-based access controls, and best practices for PII/data privacy.
• Familiarity with BI tools from a data modeling and provisioning perspective.
• Experience with identity stitching, consent logic, or historical tracking.
• Proven track record in collaborating with business teams to define metrics or attributes.
• Background in supporting customer or lifecycle analytics.
• Experience in delivering attributes or segments to downstream tools.
• Over 6 years of professional experience in an analytics engineering role, including at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
• Experience in a franchise, multi-location retail, or consumer services business is advantageous.
• Ability to collaborate during U.S. business hours.
• A brief application note detailing a past data-model mistake and the lessons learned from it.
