Data Engineer – Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance data pipelines for product events, usage metrics, and customer datasets.

• Create analytical infrastructure utilizing Kafka, ClickHouse, and PostgreSQL.

• Manage data models, KPI definitions, and metric layers that drive dashboards and product functionalities.

• Establish dependable ingestion processes for both structured and unstructured datasets provided by customers.

• Uphold privacy-centric data practices through anonymization, pseudonymization, and tenant-specific controls.

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and actionable.

• Maintain the data foundation that supports Saga’s analytics capabilities.

• Transition data pipelines from proof of concept to production-level scale.

• Develop systems that facilitate analytics across Saga’s expanding customer base.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a dedicated Data Engineer in Analytics.

• Proficient in SQL and Python.

• Familiarity with analytics databases, ideally ClickHouse.

• Experience with streaming pipelines, particularly Kafka.

• Strong data modeling expertise in both OLTP and OLAP systems.

• Proven experience in constructing KPI/metric layers.

• Background in working with analytics sources such as PostHog.

• Solid understanding of privacy engineering and GDPR regulations.

• Preference given to candidates currently located in the Netherlands, Norway, Turkey, Poland, or Romania.

• Must be open to being hired as a contractor.
